To set the Twitter social network options go to Admin Panel > System Configuration > Social Media > Twitter.

Within Twitter social network settings you can set up job posting from your job board site to Twitter web-site (
Exporting can be done automatically according to the task scheduler settings or manually via Admin Panel.


Note: In order to export jobs to Twitter you need to have an account on The exported jobs will be posted on Twitter on behalf of this account.


Twitter settings page:

Enable job sharing for users - enable this setting in case you want to allow users to post job on Twitter after a job is posted on your job board. This setting regulates whether a button allowing to post jobs on Twitter will be available for users after job posting on your job board.


Please note that posting to Social networks for users is also regulated by permissions of User Groups and Products. To allow all users to post jobs on Twitter you need to allow this permission in User Group permissions. In case you want to allow job posting on Twitter only for users who purchased a certain product you need to deny "Post Jobs on Social Networks" permission for a User Group and allow it for this certain product.

Adding new feed

To set up automatic posting click Add New Job Feed button to create new feed. Once you click Add New Job Feed you will see a new page opened where you can set it up:



Feed Name - indicate the name of your feed to differentiate it from other feeds.

Twitter Account - you need to enter the username of an account you registered on

Twitter API Consumer Key - register an application on using your Twitter account credentials. Then paste generated Twitter API Consumer Key to this field.

Twitter API Consumer Secret - register an application on using your Twitter account credentials. Then paste generated Twitter API Consumer Secret to this field.

Under the following section you need to specify the criteria for the jobs that should be exported to Twitter:


And the bottom section is the "Posting Settings", where you need to set the parameters for posting to Twitter:

Update every __ listings - once this number of listings (e.g. 5) meeting the specified filter criteria found in the system - they will be posted to Twitter.
If the number of listings meeting the criteria is less then 5, e.g. 3 - then they will not be posted to Twitter, untill there will be 5 listings;

Posting Limit __ per day - Here you can limit the number of postings to be posted on Twitter per day because Twitter has certain limitations on posting that can be chekced here:

Hash tags - A hash tag is a way for people to search for posts that have a common topic;

Post template - the template of the posting on Twitter, by deafult it is:{$listing.Title} link
If you want any of the listed at the bottom of the page fields to be included in the Twitter post you need to copy its code and paste to the "Post Template" field.

Note: Link to listing details page and hash tags will be added automatically to the end of each post.
Please make sure that you have set up Bitly account (Bitly settings) in the Admin Panel so that links are shortened correctly.


Then press the "Add" button to complete. The newly created feed will appear in the table on the "Twitter Settings" page:

Getting Twitter Credentials

To get the Twitter API Consumer Key and Twitter API Consumer Secret, you need to do the following:

Go to Click on the "My Applications" link:


Then click on the "Create new application" button:


In the opened form fill in the appropriate fields:

IMPORTANT: Do not forget to enter the "Callback URL" (the URL of your website).


After you have created your application you will see the details of your app:

IMPROTANT: You will need to change the settings indicated on the screenshot above. For this you need to go to the "Settings" tab and and change the following settings:

Change the following settings:

1) Access: Read and Write

2) Callback URL: In case you have not indicated Callback URL during creation of the app indicate it now (Callback Url is your website URL).

3) Leave "Allow this application to be used to Sign in with Twitter" unchecked.



Note: Only required fields are listed above. The fields "Organization" and "Application Icon" are optional.


Then go to the "Settings" tab. On that page you need to find the Consumer Key and Consumer Secret:

You need to copy them, go back to your Feed (Admin Panel > System Configuration > Social Media > Twitter > your Feed)
And paste the Consumer Key and Consumer Secret you copied to the appropriate fields.

Allow Application to Post to Twitter

Once you created a new feed you you will be automatically redirected to Twitter to permit accessing and updating your data on Twitter.



Permission to access Twitter account can be also granted manually, for that use the "Grant Permission" link located opposite the feed you created.


You will see the followin screen:

You just need to click 'Authorize app'.
That's it. Then you will be automatically redirected back to your Admin Panel:


Posting jobs to Twitter

Posting to Twitter can be done either automatically or manually.

Posting automatically

To make the system to post to Twitter automatically you need to configure CRON to run the script given to you on the top of the "Twitter Settings" page.


Note that instructions for configuring CRON you can find on the Task Scheduler page of your Admin Panel
 (Admin Panel -> System Configuratoin -> Task Scheduler)



Running Manually

You can also run the script to post to Twitter manually at any time. For that you need to press the "Run" button:

The system will check if there are any listings meeting the criteria you specified in the Filter Criteia.
If there are any (e.g. 3) you will see the following message:


Then you need to press the "Ok" button in in order to post these Jobs to Twitter right now.
The system will immediatelly post the job and display the following message:


That's it! You may close this dialog box.

If then you go to and sign in you will see the posted jobs.
