Fields of “Email” type are used for User Profiles only. Users input their email into this type of field.
On the Edit Profile page 'email' type field looks similar to 'string' type field:
If an email is not valid - the user will be informed about it; and changes will not be saved until user enters valid email.
The system does not check if an email really exist or not.
User email is not displayed anywhere, so other users will not be able to see it. Email entered by users will be used to send them notifications and mailings.
To edit a field of ‘email’ type you need to click on the “Edit” icon opposite this field in the Admin Panel.
There will be the form opened where you can modify the ‘email’ type field parameters and enter the default value to be set for this particular field (e.g. it can be the model of valid email)
Then press the "Save" button to save the changes. Use the "Apply" button to save changes and remain on the same page.
